Product description:
- Soudal Aquaswell is a high quality, one component polyurethane sealant which swells up in contact with water to create a water- and gastight seal in pipe- and cable penetrations.
Characteristics:
- Waterand gastight up to 5 bar (DVGW VP-601).
- Very good adhesion on concrete and many metals, PVC.
- Very easy application on both horizontal and vertical substrates.
- Swells up to 450% of its original volume in contact with water.
- Stays elastic after curing.
- Returns to its original shape after swelling.
Applications:
- Water sealing pipeand cable penetrations.
- Water sealing concrete joints.
- Bonding of water swelling water stop tape onto rough surfaces.
Directions for use:
- Method: caulking gun.
- Fill the penetration in the concrete structure on each side to 5cm deep using Soudal Aquaswell, according to the application
- Table (technical datasheet). For large penetrations PU backing rods
- Should be wrapped around the pipe in the centre of the concrete structure according to the application table.
- Application temperature: +1°C to +30°C
- Clean: with white spirit immediately after use.
- Finishing (optional): with a soapy solution or Soudal Finishing Solution before skin formation.
- Repair: with the same product.
Remarks:
- In order to ensure the correct performance of the product, Soudal recommends a preliminary adhesion test.
